Immanuel- God with Us

Immanuel. God is with us -- and in a special way at Christmas, when He entered human history through Christ Jesus. 

He came to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, to recover sight for the blind, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour. 

He came for the man possessed by the demon. He came for the paralytic who could not find a way to where He was. He came for Samaritan woman who was burdened by her past history of 5 husbands. He came for the sins of the man laid by Bethesda for 38 years. He came for the fisherman who denied him three times when he said he was willing to die for Him. He came for the robber on the cross next to him. 

He came for you and me.  A gift for all, the only Son for the sinners.

Will you hear the call?
Of Him who did not spare His son
But gave him for us all
On earth there is no power
There is no depth or height
That could ever separate us
From the love of God in Christ
